  8. Camp Olowalu
    Camp Olowalu offers over 36 clean and spacious sites for tent and car camping with spectacular ocean views. The rate is $15 per person for all camping. You may also rent cabins by the night and have access to the hot showers and kitchen.

No. Please use the map and guide to find a camping site. Some of the camp sites require permits and you are responsible for obtaining those. We are happy to help you plan your Maui Roof Top experience.

You may camp at Hosmer Grove which is just inside the entrance to the park. Beautifully surrounded by redwood and eucalyptus trees with great hiking trails starting right from the campground. This is your closest camping spot to the summit and within a 30 min drive. It's a cold one!

No, the tents are securely mounted to the top of each truck, SUV or Van.

There is a lot of public beach showers and fresh waterfalls to freshen up! Your also welcome to use our guest bathroom at our house 8 min from Paia.

Most of the tents sleep 2-3 comfortably. Depending on what truck you book determines how many people you can accommodate. The SUV's can accommodate 2-4 people, while the full size trucks are capable of having two tents on top for a total of 5-6 guests.

Yes! We have SUP boards (stand up paddle boards), boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach umbrella, Go Pro's and more!

Yes! It's truly an amazing, safe way to see the whole island and not spend half of your time all in one place. The conditions are aways good to excellent and your always within close proximity to restaurants, shops, parks, beaches and more!

We are on-call 24-7 with any emergencies, questions or concerns.

We do not rent any VW's. We find them to be unreliable and hard to accommodate more than two people. Camp Maui-X offers trucks that have plenty of room for all the gear we offer for your Maui adventure.

Rentals are based on 24 hours. If you return the truck past the 24 hours period on your last day you will be charged a flat rate for the first 5 hours and then a full days rate after.

If your flights arrives after 5PM you might want to consider booking a hotel stay your first night and then start your camping adventure the following day. If you do decide to check-in after 5PM there could be additional charges that may apply.
